South Africa has the largest economy in Africa; it is an influential regional power; and is the only African country in the G20. Despite the recent global recession, its economy is strong and its democracy is holding up. Yet there are growing noises about nationalisation and populist economic policies that could have disastrous consequences for the country and the region. But all is not lost...
